The weird thing is that I finally managed to get the adapter to work with Windows Vista Business 64bit dualboot configuration. Too busy and broke for that adventure! Search for “WMP54G v4. I have been searching everywhere and you were the first one to provider the solution. Great job and appreciate your help very much. I wish I could make it digitally signed but vit now the above procedure works just fine.
Anybody who knows about driver signing and would like to help out? Thanks again for the information above. In the case of my v4.

I appreciate your efforts. Then choose driver, then choose “update driver”. Thank you as I have been fighting this for months. I finally called up Linksys support and got step by step help from them. The download is an installer.
I just followed these steps to successfully install the drivers on Vista RC1 x86 with one small change: Spent hours trying to figure this out. I will choose a driver to bot.

As stated before, do a Google to find your chipset no identifiers on the card. I appreciate the input. So far vista is an enormous disappointment with respect to ease of installation. First got rid of the linksys files ran the ralink file rebooted went to hardware and chose the unused. Find it in the list of devices and uninstall it. Auto-suggest helps you quickly narrow down your search results by suggesting possible matches as you type.
I download these drivers and I installed them one after w,p54g other but it dosen’t work for me, I mean my Win still doesn’t find the proper drivers for my card. Railink is the manufacturer of the chip itself I have been told. For many days I’ve tried similar fixes with no results.
